City Temple employed us to production manage their Pentecost event in St. Davids Hall. With the get in starting at 4:30am,
sound/lighting/visual
checks at 9:00am, morning service at 10:30am, a stage reset for the evening service at 6:30pm,
with sound,
lighting and vision checks,
it was a mammoth day for all involved.
We were eager to utalise the City Temples'
technical
team as well
as our
own crew. The City Temple
technical team ran the house lighting system, video cameras and
live
DVD recording. Our tech crew
ran the main sound systems, monitors and
mixed the video and computer images.
We supplied additional D&B Q7 speakers to cover dead areas and assist the inhouse D&B Q line array in coping with
2000+
worshippers.
Our
DDA CS8 40 channel console was on front of house duties and a DDA CS8 32channel console on monitors
along with D&B Max
15 & 12 wedges.
Due to the size of the venue, we are provided a 12x9ft rear projection screen and
Sanyo XF30
projector, to enable
songs words & multiple
camera feeds of the stage to be shown on the screen.
As the event
was a
sell out, two
additional
areas, each
holding 200 people,
were used for the overflow, with live video & audio relay
from the auditorium.

Newsboys live in concert at Cardiff Students Union.
We were incharge of production managing the event - this mainly
involved
liasing
with the venue and Newsboys tour manager to enable the production to be a success.

ThirdDay played the same venue as Newsboys late last year. Again we were in charge of production managing this event.
We chose to provide
our own technicians to operate the sound, lighting and AV equipment.

For the third year running we provided sound, lighting, staging and AV equipment for New Wine Cymru.
We decided to fly
the
main
speaker system;
this allowed the sound to be evenly distributed throughout the venue. Our production manager
and FoH engineer
Dave Lyle liaised with worship leaders and convinced them to use in ear monitors rather than the
conventional
monitor wedge.
The
worship band adapted to the in ear monitors and we had very positive comments on the
clarity
and improvement they
made
to
the
quality of the worship. They have requested to use in ear monitors again this
year.
The bands monitor mixes were controlled from a
separate console and engineer side stage. This dramatically
reduced the
volume
on stage
and allowed a
crisper
balance
for the audience.
A central projection screen with truss surround, Octofade FX and Sanyo XF45 projector, were chosen to project
worship
songs, bible
verses and overlay live camera images. This was then relayed live to a plasma screen and sound system in
the
exhibition and café area.
We also supplied 3 seminar rooms with CD recording and visual equipment. Another two youth venues were
supplied
with ‘rock n roll’
sound,
lighting and av equipment. These venues were manned by a volunteer tech team, with our
technicians on call if needed.

Switchfoot's first UK Tour date was in the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. We were brought into manage the technical aspects
and
bring the different parts of the production together. This involved liasing
with the venue, Swichfoots tour manager,
the
promoter
and different technical companies. We chose to subhire the lighting system and provided the sound equipment. We
provided our Shermann FoH speaker system comprising of
12 Shermann
R118
Sub bass
& 8 Shermann GX Commando's.
We used our DDA on FoH and Soundcraft MH3 on monitors
to run 6 sets of
stereo
Sennhesier wireless in ear monitors.

Clem Curtis and the Foundations! We were contracted by Glamorgan University to supply and operate
sound equipment
for
their
Freshers Ball.
We supplied our DDA CS8 for FoH duties and our A&H GL2200 for monitors,
along with a
6 way
stage
mix using a mixture of Shermann MR15 and TP12 wedges.
